Minimum Wage Paycheck Calculator By State

This page includes resources related to minimum wages in each state. You can use our Paycheck Calculator to discover what’s your annual, weekly, or monthly salary if you’re earning your state’s minimum wage. Of course, you can also calculate your paycheck if your wage is above the minimum wage.

The federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. In all states, employers are required to pay their workers at least this minimum pay, even if they have no minimum wage laws. There are five states that don’t have any minimum hourly pay or overtime laws, and then the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations apply.

The federal minimum hourly wage of $7.25 translates to $58 a day, $290 a week (at 40 work hours a week), $1256.67 a month, and $15,080 a year.

Not all employees will receive their state’s minimum wage. There are employee categories, like tipped workers, nonprofit workers, and some students that are exempt from their state’s minimum wage and/or overtime regulations.
